Sharing a wood-fired pizza at Square Peg
Date night

A good night out,
without the production

No reservation anxiety, no tasting menu, no performance. A fire, a bottle and something that came out of the oven four minutes ago.

Why here

Four reasons it works

The oven does the talking

Wood-fired pies cook in minutes, so food arrives while you’re still on the first drink — not forty minutes into a conversation that had started to flag.

Splitting is the point

A pizza, a pasta and something fried in the middle of the table beats two plates and a silence. Order three things and share all of them.

It costs what it costs

You can have a very good night here for the price of two entrées somewhere with a tasting menu, and nobody has to pretend to be impressed.

Nobody is rushing you

The kitchen runs late most nights, and longer on football days. Stay for dessert.

How to order

A night, in four moves

  1. StartSomething fried to share while you look at the rest of the menu. It buys you ten minutes of not deciding anything.
  2. MiddleOne round pizza between two is plenty if you’ve started with an appetizer. Pick one red and one white if you’re getting two — they taste different enough to be worth it.
  3. DrinkFriday is half-price bottles after 5pm. Happy hour runs 2–6pm every day at every location with a bar. Not sure what goes with what? Ask Sal.
  4. EndDessert, and the argument about who’s paying.
