How many pizzas
do I need?

Tell us who’s eating. We’ll tell you what to order — based on how much pizza is actually on the pie, not a flat slices-per-person rule.

Order about 2 large pizzas 16 slices for 4 people

Tighter option: 1 large + 1 small.

The sizes

What you’re actually ordering

SizeSlicesFeeds
18″ large round 8 3.6–5.3 adults
12″ small round 6 1.6–2.4 adults
Detroit-style pan 6 2.0–2.9 adults

Feeds assumes pizza is the whole meal. With appetizers on the table, each pie stretches about 20% further.

Worth knowing

Four things that change the answer

Rounds come two ways

A 12″ round cuts into 6 slices, an 18″ into 8. The large isn’t just two more slices — it’s more than twice the pizza, because area grows with the square of the diameter.

Detroit sits in between

The 10×14″ pan is 6 thick, crispy-edged squares. It eats heavier than a round of the same area, so it goes further than the numbers suggest. Available at every location except Bolton.

Order one more than feels right

Leftover pizza is a feature. Running out in front of your guests is not, and a second round of ordering adds half an hour to the night.

Mixed crowds round up

Kids eat about half an adult portion, but they also eat unpredictably. If the split is close, take the larger number.
